Three meals a day!!

Isn't he beautiful!!  I was standing about 6 feet away from him. Too bad he's lost one of his antlers.  He came back to the crab apple tree across the street three times yesterday.  Hope he didn't get a stomach ache, or worse, after eating  all those apples!  Haven't seen him today, maybe he found some shade in this 40C heat.

  1. A magnificent animal, such a shame about its lost antler.

    1. Over the years we have had several visit our street from young fawns to big bucks with full racks. They have never been a problem, although I have noticed that some people in the neighbourhood have put chicken wire around their berry bushes!

  5. So beautiful! We saw a huge stag as we drove home late one night a couple of years ago. He was magnificent and took my breath away. I felt so privileged to have seen him.

  6. Deer are pretty but....

They are a necessary link, in the Deer Tick life cycle.

And I am terrified of Ticks.

So am happy, to never have seen a deer, around here.
