3 days

Day 1
Shortbread cookies and cranberry chocolate shortbread cookies

Day 2

Matrimonial squares, cherry squares and brownies

Day 3

Butter tarts, fruit/chocolate tarts, cherry coconut tarts.

Also made 6 dozen chocolate covered macadamia nut  clusters but forgot to take a picture.
There was a time I would have made all that in one day but the hip and knee say that was then this is now, lol.

  1. Are you inviting the whole street, road, village, town or whatveer for Christmas? Here we are (hopeefully) staying at home to avoid the spread of Covid but do wish you lived near enough to fill my biscuit tin. They look scrumptious.

    1. I'd love to fill up your biscuit tin Pat but there's quite a queue already!! I'll be doing up packages for the 3 sons and families, a GD and her husband, best friend and a couple of neighbours. So, fortunately, there won't be a whole lot left after it's all divvied up!!

    1. Hi Suzanne, hope you're all well. It's a western Canadian thing to refer to date squares as matrimonial cake. It's supposedly called matrimonial cake because of the two separate layers brought together by dates which symbolizes two people courting and solidifying the relationship in marriage. Regardless, they are Kelsey and Garry's favourites!!

    2. That's a lovely reason to call them matrimonial squares. I'd love them as well being a huge fan of dates. We are all well thank you and I hope you and yours are all well and ready for Christmas. xx

  4. We do start to pace ourselves a little more as we begin to get those aches and pains. Today I plan on chocolate chip cookies and a second batch of cinnamon buns. Then I curl up in my chair with my knitting and watch The Witcher on Netflix.

    God bless.

    1. I hate to say it but we are going out today for a few last things. It is the warmest day (-5C) left before Christmas as it is going down to -15 and more for the next week.

  5. Wow, that's quite the a haul! And they all look soooo delicious. I reduced the number and variety I made this year and there is still far too many goodies.
    Enjoy!

    1. I think next year I will start earlier and then I can freeze some-if I could get my freezer empty enough, lol. After Christmas Eve there won't be that much left, so that's a good thing!!
