Visitors

We had some visitors today but they maintained 'physical distancing' by staying on the other side of the street!  They came at 7:30 this morning for breakfast and liked it so much they came back at 5:30 for supper.  The yard across the street faces south therefore their snow all melted as it was 15 degreesC today.  Our house faces north and we still have about 2 feet of snow on our lawn!!

  1. How wonderful to see these animals so close. I hope they weren't munching through someone's flowers

    1. I've noticed in the neighbourhood that some people have put chicken wire around some trees and bushes.

  4. How lovely! It is not a sight I would ever see around here. In fact I have only ever seen them in the wild a couple of times in my life.

    1. We live in a suburban neighbourhood and the deer have been here for many many years. Not sure where exactly they 'live'.

  5. There was a clip on Facebook recently regarding a housing estate in Scotland that had been invaded by deer. The lockdown has meant many are finding their way into towns no its quieter.

    1. The deer around here have been here for many years. Our neighbourhood is pretty quiet, maybe that's way they stay around.

  6. I have only seen deer tracks in the city this year. I actually missed seeing them munching on things this winter.

    God bless.

    1. They have been here pretty regularly this month. We think they live in the backyard of a house about 100metres away from us.

  7. We saw deer at our last place but not sure that we will here but then we might on our walks as we're close to rural sections nearby. I'm trying to get photos of the two herons that are regular visitors, they're pretty quick to fly off though

    1. My SIL posted a picture of a bobcat in their yard yesterday! I'll take the deer any time over a bobcat!

  8. How lovely. I hope they only ate the grass and not your plants.
