Bobcat visit

We haven't seen a bobcat since Sept. 2015
This afternoon I noticed a couple of ladies looking at the front of our house so I pulled up the blinds to see what they were looking at.
This is what we saw.

The bobcat had killed the rabbit in our front flower bed.  He grabbed hold of it and dragged it off down the street. The poor rabbit has been living underneath our hedge for about the last week.  I guess he was in the wrong place at the wrong time!

  1. Oh my goodness, what a thing to see. The bunny looks quite big as well. What a shame it couldn't hop out of harms way. Are the cats frightened of humans? Would you go outside if one was in your garden?

  2. We had a bigger cat in our yard in Sept.2015, it's on the blog. Garry went outside to take pictures, you can see his reflection in the window. It just ignored him. I took pictures from inside the door, I was not going to go out, no way. I haven't heard of anyone being attacked by bobcats, but cougars are a different story. They would definitely attack!

  3. Poor old bunny, at least he won't be digging up the flower beds now though I suppose. What a powerful reminder of the circle of life, nature at its savage finest
