DS#2 went to London on a flight and brought me another batch of goodies!!
This is just the top layer of the box, lots of other goodies underneath.
He left on a flight to Hong Kong this afternoon-14 hours. They have very strict covid protocol when you go there. He had to have a covid test 48 hours prior to the flight. Another one when they land. They are taken to the hotel and given a key card to open the hotel room. This card is programmed to only open the door once so you can't leave your room as you won't be able to get back in. If you are found outside your room you are ARRESTED!!! So you have to stay in your room for 16 hours and then they come and take them back to the airport to get on their flight home. They sure don't fool around over there!
Lovely goodies, how wonderful. e are certainly living in strange times.
ReplyDeleteWow, I assume he's having a meeting in his room in Hong Kong? I wonder why they would bother since they cannot leave that space.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay well.
No meeting. Just sleeping after the 14 hour flight, something to eat, reading, watching tv until it's time to leave!
DeleteDo I presume that he is travelling on elsewhere to a meeting then? x
ReplyDeleteNo meeting. He is flight director for an airline. He is part of the flight crew.
DeleteI recognise those goodies :) Sounds a sensible approach about staying in your room. The rules over here seem to be based on an 'if you feel like it' approach and a total lack of interest by the authorities especially where mass gatherings are concerned.Hope you're all keeping well.
ReplyDeleteYes, we hear a lot of 'we recommend, we suggest', drives me crazy. We're still keeping well. School starts this week so it will be interesting to see what repercussions we'll have from that. Our next door neighbour has actually taken a years leave from her job so she can home school her 11 year old daughter. She is autistic and suffers with high anxiety, but has been much better doing the home schooling since March. Her 13 year old can't wait to get back to school!!
DeleteLovely box of goodies. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Oh I envy you, such a lovely box of yummy goodness. My late Mother received a box of goodies from the UK for her 100th b-day a couple of years ago. She shared some with my sister and I.
