I put the tree up two days ago! First time it's been put up in November! Already received a couple of Christmas cards in the mail and a Christmas gift from one of the neighbours!!
The view outside is very similar to my header picture. The deer are moving from lawn to lawn following the sun around.
The deer are beautiful and so is your tree. Regrettably I can't get into a Christmas frame of mind.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really in a Christmas frame of mind either but figured I may as well put the tree up!
Deletewhat type of deer are they? The ones near here are brown... the elks that are being farm raised are more like yours in color.
ReplyDeleteI have put a few Christmas things up but have been stymied with the idea that there won't be anyone to see them but us...
They are white-tailed deer. Haven't seen a buck this year, (must be around somewhere) only does. Our 'Officer of Health' just gave an update and said we will probably be looking at a 'virtual' Christmas with anyone outside of our household!
DeleteThe deer seem to visit across the street or on the street behind us. Your tree looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Thank you Jackie.
DeleteThe tree is lovely. I've had mine up for a couple of weeks; I'm enjoying the lights and the sparkle.
ReplyDeleteNo deer here in the city, but my brother saw 6 mule deer this evening on his way home to the farm. Last night there were several on their lawn - the cat was watching quite intently from inside the house.
Take care, stay well!
Judging from all the prints in the snow on the front lawn they are coming during the night to nibble on the juniper bushes!!
DeleteThe tree is looking amazing. A joy to think about the deer wandering around so near.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't seen much of them all summer but they are here just about everyday lately.
DeleteYour tree is looking very sparkly. Not sure when we'll do ours as I'm staying with Mum at the moment while she recovers from an operation. I don't tend to put it up early anyway, but thought I might bring it forward a bit this year. Hope you're all keeping well. xx
ReplyDeleteHope your mom is recovering well from her surgery and the rest of you are fine. We are all healthy. Christmas will be very different this year. At the moment the health department is saying we will have to be happy with a virtual Christmas, as far as family goes!! Take care.
DeleteLike the huge illuminated fairy/angel on top! Our tree is still "netted up" in our utility room. I'll be sticking it up, soon.
ReplyDeleteGood thing we have a cathedral ceiling or she wouldn't fit!!
