All together there were 5 of them but I couldn't get them all in one shot. I was standing on our driveway, across the street.
A couple of days ago we had a couple of deer walk down the street about an hour after we had a very large coyote trotting down the street. That would not have been a good combination if they were there at the same time!!
I see the Real Illuminati has visited you as well - I had 5 messages from them!
It fascinates me that you have deer wandering around your gardens. Are they a welcome sight or do they cause damage? I don't think I'd be so keen to see a coyote. Hope you've had a lovely weekend. xx
The deer are no trouble although they do sometimes eat the flowers. Years ago I had a beautiful clump of tulips by the driveway, about 2 dozen blooms. We came home one day and it looked like they had been sheared off with hedge clippers. The giveaway was a couple of piles of the deer droppings on the lawn!! I've noticed on other streets people have put chicken wire around the edibles in their front yards. The coyotes have become very bold in the last few years and aren't afraid of humans at all. It's a big concern for people walking their dogs. I always permanently delete the Real Illuminati and the like.

How wonderful to have deer so close .
ReplyDeleteThey are so near the houses.
Great photos
Thank you. They,ve been around here for years. We don't know where they go at night, especially in the middle of the winter.
DeleteWhat a great experience. I've seen deer when I've stayed in the woods in the UK. But to see them in your sort of environment is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt is quite amazing!
DeleteI see the hoof prints of deer coming up the valley, but have yet to see any visiting.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
They're pretty regular around here!
DeleteFabulous. We used to see them in France, they would come quite close to the house, but not so much in this part of England.
ReplyDeleteThey're not very timid at all. They just look at you and keep going.
DeleteWe see them quite often where we live. Especially at this time of year when it is hunting season. They seem to come closer to the houses.
ReplyDeleteWe are right in the city so they don't have to worry about hunters!
